I know exactly how you feel. My husband bought pizza over the weekend and I am on soft foods. I got so mad at him that I did cry. He has been having all kinds of food that I used to love now, but the pizza has been the only thing got a reaction out of me. It will get better and we will make it thru this. My surgeon does soft foods for 3 months. I am only a week in. The only food that I am really enjoying is hummus. I am having a heck of a time getting all my protein in.

You're 8 days post op from RNY? Any chance you could leave and do something else while they eat? At least until you get a little further in your journey.

Yes 8 days post op RN, went out for the first time today I have cabin fever. Might have to start taking a walk when they have dinner.

Protein is priority one to get in then water.

I'm almost 10 months out and I would be upset if my husband brought pizza but he respects what I'm doing that he doesn't do that.

If he wants something he goes and has it on his own or when we are at a restaurant. Which is easier on me.

I suggest you have a talk with him about how it effects you.

Good luck with what you are doing for yourself and don't let anyone stop you or detour you from getting it.

I am also 8 days out. Today was the first day I didn't feel the discomfort in my left side. I may have been over doing it with the getting out and about

I am 7 days out. My husband has been great he asks me if I mind to have him eating near me anytime he eats. I don't mind too much but he had steak the other night and I went up and took a shower. We don't have kids at home so it's easier.
