Newbie!

Hello.
New to this forum, but hoping to become a regular to help with my success.

I'm a lap band to VSG conversion. I had surgery on June 26th. After 3 years of nothing but miserable challenges with my lap band, my surgeon performed my Lap Band removal and VSG procedure at the same time.

I'm now almost a week post op and just trying to get to my new normal.

I know every surgeon has their own "rules" but wondering if anyone is struggling with dairy. Every time I try and eat my Greek Yogurt or anything "dairy" I get very nauseous and my stomach is very angry.

What are you all eating 6 days post op?

Welcome! I was told to stay on clears the first week and liquids the second, but as you mentioned many of us will have different eating plans. My sleeve was very angry the first three weeks. I couldn't have any diary, so I opted for yogurt made with almond milk.

good luck!

Thanks for the reply!

My surgeon is all about the immediate Protein. But, I think my belly has other plans! I have backed off the dairy and have been focused more on just letting my new belly heal and get in what I can. Lactose free Protein shakes, broth, sugar free popcycles, and Jello is what I am currently trying.

I know it's going to be different everyday. So, I'll just keep trying!

Thank you again! :)
