Does it cost more for a revision

I haven't spoken to my Dr as of yet, but can anyone who has had a revision know if the revision costs more, and if so what are the extra costs vs just getting the sleeve without a revision?

what type of revision? you aren't listed as having the band...that's the usual reason for a revision... if you are going from a band to sleeve, it would depend on your insurance... If you are self pay, especially, you will want to see if the Dr can do it all at once to cut your costs...

I guess we need some clarification here...

I am revision from band to sleeve and no it was not more.

thanks...I am currently a bandster waiting for appointments for revision

I'm a lapband to sleeve revision. I didn't really ask my doctor if it were more. I just assumed so based off of being a precert nurse with a large healthcare insurance company. The reason being is because the doctor will be billing for both the procedure codes(CPT code) for the removal of the band and the VSG. Hence two different charges. Maybe this is done differently with a self pay but not for insurance. These are done as two different approvals regardless if they are done on the same claim/authorization or not.
