Heavy lifting

Had my surgery on June 10 and yesterday I went to the grocery store. I picked up a large package of water bottles and put them in the cart. I remember feeling a little bit of pain and thought oh I better not do that again. Ever since then, that biggest incision site has gotten more sore. Now its painful to cough or lay on that side! Anyone else experience this?

is it like a sharp stabbing pain when you bend or pull the area in question

You may want to call your doctor and check in.

I am apprehensive about the same issue. I'm like, who is going to carry my big a** purse? The answer? Me. The kids said they would help me put my classroom up, but you know how that is. Please go to the Dr. just to make sure it's not serious. Let us know what happens. Get well soon.

this is what I had, when I went to see them I had pulled the abdominal wall where they had cut through the muscle to do the sleeve they told me it is not unheard of and happens a lot and not to worry to much two weeks later the pain has pretty much gone but I would suggest you get it checked out for peace of mind

It is probably nothing, but this is something you should check in with your doctor about. Good luck & LIFT FROM YOUR LEGS! :P

I called the doctor and they got on to me for lifting water. I can't lift anything over 10 lbs for 6 weeks...my bad, I thought it was 3 weeks. She told me to watch for nausea, vomiting, or fever, but she thought I would be fine in a few days. Its so sore!
