VSG & Hormones

I had my VSG on 06-11-14. Is anyone else experiencing extreme mood changes. I find myself happy & then see a silly sad commercial or movie n start tearing up (normally wouldn't).

Yes to tearing up!

I have not been sleeved yet, but I know people who have and they all told me that's gonna happen, but it's normal. All of them did also say it will pass eventually it's just part of the process. Hang in there, it will get better!

It was an emotional roller coaster for me and most who have had this surgery. Everything in your body is changing and expect more of the same. Even now after 19 months I still have mood changes because of the changes I have made..Or I am just a moody person...No that's not it so it must be because of all the changes in my body..Don't fight it..But don't hurt anyone either...lol

:)

I wouldn't say I'm having mood swings. I mostly feel pretty good. I just find myself tearing up a lot more when I watch movies or the news or something. Also, trouble feeling motivated to do my school work...

I am having some issues as well :-( Even got a period (haven't gotten one in almost a year! Thought menopause had hit) I'm only 5 weeks out (down almost 30 pounds :-). Hoping everything settles in soon!!
