Kaiser So. California

Hello, I have begun the process for Gastric Sleeve surgery with Kaiser Permanente in So. Ca.

I've attended my group information session and will start the Options classes for 12 weeks in July.

I'm wondering if any of you have used Kaiser and what your experience was. Especially the timeline.

Looking forward to hearing about your experience.

I was sleeved yesterday morning (8/20). Not too much pain but just dealing with nausea. I should be going home tomorrow.

Congrats to you. I dealt with the nausea...not fun but once it was gone it hasn't come back since. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Thank you iwhit. Yea I'm slowly coming back to life lol. I do feel better with each passing day.

So I had my 1 week post op appt today and was given the ok to start on soft foods. I was so excited to finally eat something lol. I had a scrambled egg when I got home. I was good but definitely felt weird going down. I couldn't quite finish the whole egg in one sitting. This will take some getting used to.

I started options last October, graduated The beginning of January, had surgery in March. To give a timeline.
Be sure to stay on top of appointments because they are really strict about us taking our health into our own hands and will not bug us for appointments. If you miss their call, CALL THEM BACK! They will not keep trying.
Best of luck and I am happy to answer any questions.

I’m meeting with Dr Chin in two days! Hoping to get my surgery date. Eeeeek.
