Never suffered this prior.......

I'll follow up with my doctor if it continues today. So far, I'm ok. It might have been the homemade marinara I made yesterday with turkey. It was probably too acidic. I can't imagine living with that pain daily...I feel for you and hope it goes away soon!

I had heartburn/gerd prior to my surgery. After surgery, my heartburn more than doubled. I was taking 40mg Prilosec twice a day. I am now taking 60mg of dexilant twice a day. It helps, but the heartburn at times is just there. I went back in for an endoscopy and learned I still have a hiatal hernia. My surgeon recommended fixing it again (had one repaired @ time of sleeve). After consulting with my primary dr and seeing a specialist he recommended, I'm going to continue with the dexilant, adjust my diet and try a wedge pillow. Good luck!

Oh no! Sorry to hear you have another hernia. That stinks. Hope the medicine can help. I didn't have hernia repair but I hear it's quite painful. Good luck to you!

I found if I drink purified water it seems to aggravate it but if I do not take nexium and Prilosec it's bad .. If I take the two and drink purified water I start to get a lite heartburn feeling .. Dr seems to think it should go away when I start having normal bm I don't know it will hope it does just had surgery may 30
