Hello hello! So, I just got home from the hospital today, and I'm feeling pretty good! The only annoying thing are my incisions, which get really irritated by my clothes and bedding. When I was in the hospital, they were bandaged, but the doctor took those off this morning. Is there a reason for them to be uncovered? Do they, like, need to breath or something? I'd love to just slap some bandaids on there, but I wouldn't want to interrupt the healing process. Thoughts?

Day 5 my bandades have fallen off but the steri strips are still on. I was told no baths and they would just fall off when needed.

If the incision area is getting irritated, I'd get some of the big square shaped bandages, big enough to cover the incision plus a little. My doc never told me anything about keeping the incision uncovered, to just let the bandages fall off by themselves. He was more concerned about water leaking into the incisions from taking baths or showers.
