May 21, 201412 yr I too am having surgery on June 2nd, have started my two week liquid diet and its harder than the first. I was banded in 2009. But we endure for the bigger picture.
May 21, 201412 yr Author Nice to "meet" you, Blakqueen. Hope we get some more that are having the surgery on the same date. It'll be nice talking with each other and seeing how we are all doing, and giving motivation when needed
May 22, 201412 yr Yay! June 2nders!!! I'm so thankful you all are here. Blakqueen, have you shared your banding story? Do you mind me asking why the change?
May 23, 201412 yr @@LovetoDive yes I have in another thread, I think it is in forum - band to sleeve. Don't know it's under my story or esophageal inflammation. In short my band has caused problems with my esophagus, then I started gaining weight so my surgeon and I came to this decision. Will tell you more, look for thread. Sorry it's my birthday on my way out. Will talk to you soon
May 28, 201412 yr Author It doesn't seem as if many people have this same surgery date as me That's ok, I can still follow others who've had it shortly before or after me. 5 more days!!! I've already lost 4 pounds on the pre-op diet food that I started Monday.
May 29, 201412 yr I am June 2 and found out today I am the only one scheduled for Monday, so my hopes of meeting some new sleevers are gone
June 1, 201412 yr Surgery tomorrow, WOW am I ready!!!! Very anxious but confident that everything will go well. My son is on his way from VA, to get me of to hospital. Doing last minute things in house. Clear diet, very hungry. LOL 8hrs of wake time left

July 8, 201412 yr Author @@BLAKQUEEN @@camper-girl @@wendyt Hello fellow June 2nd ers! How are you all? I'm doing great! I have my 6 week appointment this Thursday, and then I'll be able to eat some meat!! Weight loss is slow right now, more stalls than anything else But I just have to keep plugging away at it. Including the 2 weeks pre-op diet, I am down 27 pounds.
July 9, 201412 yr @@LovetoDive and all Hi I am five weeks out still on pureed diet until tomorrow, then mushy to soft foods. I go back to work today and I am terrified that I will stress out at my desk, which makes me eat. I do have a plan and I know I will stick with it. I was also at my moms during my recovery where everything was easy for me to prepare my food. I have brought the tools I need. I live with my aunt and she makes the kitchen non approachable, working on that. Overall I feel great, went to the gym yesterday worked out for an hour, hard to go everyday due to transportation but that will get better. I have lost in all from pre-op until know is 32 lbs. Good luck ????

Good luck How was work? So impressed with the plan, though... that's always been so hard for me. I did the same thing for part of my recovery. I went home with the kids. It was wonderful. For me, I just don't want to eat until I HAVE to eat. My poor boys even ask now, "Hey mom, you're a bit snippy. Eaten yet?" OOPS! I still haven't gone to the gym, just trying to swim as often as possible. I know it's time though, and I used to enjoy it. I'm so worried about running out of steam, though. I get really light headed REALLY easily these days. Anyone else? Congrats on 32 lbs, @@BLAKQUEEN! Please keep in touch! @@BLAKQUEEN @@camper-girl @@wendyt Hello fellow June 2nd ers! How are you all? HOW WAS YOUR APPT? meat makes a big difference! You know, our diets are all so very different?!? I could have chicken at week 4. It was awful! In one week 3 days I can have hamburger meat and I'm told that is the easiest to get down. Even tried ground chicken and it just didn't work. 27 lbs is amazing Wendyt! Congratulations! Keep in touch!!!
I'll find out what time my surgery is next week. 12 days and counting, yay!!!
