  1. I am 5 months post op and ALL liquids taste bad to me I have been getting bad headaches and I think maybe it's dehydration. I've tried everything
  2. It's hard to share, because everyone's surgeon's/nutritionists have different plans Just follow whatever your doc has told you. It's hard at first, but it does get better; hang in there.
  3. You look great! Keep on having a wonderful time!!

  7. You look great! Keep up the good work!!!
  8. I'm doing great! I have my 6 week appointment this Thursday, and then I'll be able to eat some meat!! Weight loss is slow right now, more stalls than anything else But I just have to keep plugging away at it. Including the 2 weeks pre-op diet, I am down 27 pounds.
  9. Wow, that is wonderful!!! I have my 6 week appt on the 10th. Including 2 week pre-op diet, I'm down 26 pounds.
  10. I found a great tasting pre-mixed Protein shake at WalMart, Core Power Light banana Strawberry; it's delicious, and 20g of protein!!!
  11. Congrats! You look great!!
  12. I haven't figured mine out yet, but I sure need to soon! A few times lately I've had that "last bite" that turned into the one that was too much
  13. Oh wow your four weeks out? Are you on the mushy food phase? I have been on the liquid diet for two weeks before surgery and I have been so emotionally hungry! Thanks for the kind words Yes, I'm on limited soft foods: cottage cheese, refried Beans, mushed veggies, oatmeal/cream of wheat, greek yogurt. I get to go to the next phase in 10 days. I was on a 2 week pre-packaged food diet pre-op. Don't worry, your hunger will disappear after surgery; at least, MINE did. Now I eat because I HAVE to...or because I WANT to.
  14. You will be fine. I went through many of the same emotions. And then when I hit that two-week stall, I was depressed, but it passes. I'm now 4 weeks out, and doing great. My recovery was very uneventful, thankfully. Try not to stress to much about it. If you follow the plan, it WILL work Best of luck to you tomorrow!
  15. My dietitian says potatoes are ok, regular and sweet. I can eat half a small baked potato (mashed up really good) with no problem.
  16. Wow, you look fantastic, and so happy! Congrats!
  17. I'm 25 days post op, and stalled at 9 days out Only lost 10 pounds since surgery. VERY frustrating! Wishing this stall would break any time now!
  18. It could have been the scrambled eggs; I hear that those usually don't go down well for a few months. I'm 22 days out and I won't be able to try eggs until after July 10th, so I'll find out for myself if my new sleeve can handle them.
