I'm newish to the forums-- I've just been approved by UHC for RNY. I am so excited and nervous and I have no idea what it's going to be like to not be fat. I've never not been fat.

I'm an identical twin, and my sister had the surgery in October of 2012. She's gone from 365lbs to 145lbs. I'm so incredibly proud of her, but it's been really eye opening to see how people treat her differently now that she's thin.

I don't think the surgeon's office knows I've been approved-- I just called to check in and they had just put it in the computer. I have to wait until Monday to get a pre-op apppointment and all of that stuff.
