Sooo hungry ( liquid diet sucks)

It seems as if now I crave food more and more.... In suppose to be on a liquid diet for 2wks, I have 5 before my surgery and and I must admit I have cheated ????.... I mean I've been drinking soups mainly the broth and dibbed a lil on some chips oh and the worst .... About 5 days ago I went our to eat and ate a lot... So now I'm seeing reviews that if the liver is too big then the surgery won't get done ... Hope all goes well for me!

It was really hard for me too and I cheated twice.

I had my surgery on the 6th. Once I got approved I ate everything that I know I couldn't eat after the surgery! The day before the surgery I went to red lobster n ate for $68 by myself! And guess what I still had my surgery with a huge liver. Now after my surgery, I'm depressed cuz I miss food. In tired of broth n water!!!:( yesterday I sucked on fruits n ate purée chips cuz I'm hungry. And I don't think that's normal cuz I'm only a week post-op.....

You need to be strong. And stop feeling sorry for yourself. I just had my surgery on the 6th as well. It is hard to see everybody else stuff their face with goodies and chips but if you're consuming all of those foods not even 1 week post op then you're setting yourself up for failure. Look into a support group like weight watchers. You weren't ready to give up your relationship with food if your thinking that way. Get up and walk those thoughts away. But even sucking on those foods is like pouring lemon juice on a bad wound. Supply yourself with sugar free jello diet snapple crystal light sugar free popsicles. I know how you feel because I just had mine done on the 6th too. It's the best gift I could have given myself and I'm not gonna feel sorry for myself for not being able to eat a donut. Look into a live person support group asap. You really need it

I didn't follow my post op diet very well. I stayed on fluids for the first week, after that I Slowly began adding foods. I would try a few bites of grits, refried beans, eggs and chicken. I would chew it and chew it until it was pretty much liquid. I listened to my sleeve, if I felt uncomfortable then I would know that my sleeve wasn't ready for that food. I am also obsessed with chewing ice! It helps me a lot when I want ice cream or have mental hunger. Keep up ur good work!
