Actively TTC?

Is anyone actively trying to conceive now? I had surgery in February 2013, suffered some serious complications, but recovered well and now my husband and I are actively trying to conceive baby #2. I was 255lbs when I got pregnant with baby #1 and 325 when he was born. I am now 173. I never thought I would be so excited to be pregnant again - but I am so dedicated to having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.

I'm almost 2 years post op, and have been trying to conceive since May. I've had 3 children already and didn't have any trouble conceiveing at all before surgery. I was nursing still when I had the surgery and continued after. I stopped nursing my 3rd when she was about 18 months that was in April and we started trying right after that.

My period is very regular but I did have a miscarriage back in October at 8 weeks, it was a surprise and my first. As I said I'd never had issues before and since then my cycle has been about 24 days instead of 28. I turned 29 in October and i know I'm getting "older" so baby making will get a bit more difficult but I don't think I'm ready to try fertility drugs yet. I'll just keep workig on my wieghtloss and hope that it happens while I'm taking care of my body.

Hoping the best for all of us :)

It took us 5 months to conceive baby 2. I'm due in April, currently just about 24 weeks along.

We are actively TTC. Do you recommend going to see the nutritionist before getting pregnant? Should we be eating differently than the norm? I changed my multivitamin to a prenatal. We just started last month. Hoping it doesn't take to long until we get a positive result!!
