Been around for a while

Hi,

My name is Faye. I started my journey in August 2012. I am 34 and have been, what doctors call morbidly obese, most of my life. My surgery date has been tentatively scheduled for 21 may. I'm nervous about not knowing what to eat, eating the wrong thing, and then suffering from post op symptoms like ulcers, kidney stones, etc.

I've lost 32lbs on my pre-op journey and while I'm excited about progress, I know that this surgery is just a tool to changing my life and living a healthy life. Thanks in advance for your support and advice.

Faye

Welcome to the board Faye. Don't feel alone, pretty much all of us had the same doubts and fears going into this process (I refuse to use the word "journey"!) :P

If you have any questions feel free to post them, but your best source of information is going to be your doctor. Don't feel hesitant to ask him questions. He is in the best position to tell you what's best for your situation. He's getting a ton of money to make sure you have the best outcome possible.

But you can PM me and I'll be happy to share anything I've gone through. Or you can read my blog or watch the videos I've made documenting my experiences. Both links are in my signature.
