Anyone had neuropathy pain in their legs preop and now got alot of relief postop after losing a significant amount of weight?

I dont have the diabetic neuropathy, it was caused from car accident which also injured my back as I have 3 herniated discs.

My spine Dr told me that weight loss would relieve alot of the neuropathy pain from my leg.

I hope that's true that weight loss will help with peripheral neuropathy. I have it in my feet, but not reason was ever determined why I have it.

I have it in my feet due to diabetes. I hope it goes away with weight loss. They usually started hurting when I would eat to much sugar/carbs. I hate it!
