How long till you feel normal

Of course there is the typical post op recovery, but how long does it take until you feel "normal" again?

Can't wait til I feel normal again. .1wk post op yesterday. .still feel very tired and drained. .no energy at all fatigue most of the day. After a shower I feel I like just ran a marathon. .Plus still bloated big time with gas pain. .walking and taking gas X. .not much relief. .wish I could fast forward 2-3 wks from now. Only lost 6.8lbs :-(

FYI my doc said 6-8 weeks until the fatigue goes away. he didnt tell me this until after the surgery though! ;)

I felt normal as soon as I was able to take in more than just liquids....which was week 3 for me! :)
