4 days post op

Good Morning All,

I am 4 days post op and feeling pretty good today. Slept the whole night with no pain meds and no pain, and actually slept a little on my side. I didn't venture into the bedroom but fell asleep and stayed on the couch.

food and Fluid wise I am doing well. Have starting with warm fluid first thing in the am and then move into a Protein shake. I had ring I noodles yesterday minus all the rings. Great broth to have. After about 6 oz I am completely done and don't want anymore. It takes too long to drink and gets cold so I just store it away for the next day. I'm on an all liquid diet at this time but not having a hard time. My Protein shakes give me energy that I need.

I have been walking ALOT!! It feels good to walk and also helped me to have a Bowel this morning which I was cringing about. I was worried I would have to take a laxative today. Thank god I didn't, they always bother me. Walking helped worked out the gas, although I still have gas pain. They repaired a hiatal hernia that I never knew I had. Never experienced acid pains until 4 days ago.

Good luck to everyone on their journey!!!

Great to hear you're doing so well! I feel like I had a very similar post op experience as you, right down to the cold food thing! Lol! You just kind of get used to reheating your food halfway through

Great to hear you're doing so well! I feel like I had a very similar post op experience as you, right down to the cold food thing! Lol! You just kind of get used to reheating your food halfway through or eating it cold because it takes so long to eat everything.

Keep up the good work!! :)

Congratulations.. I was banded 8 days ago. All is well so far. Still on liquids and a bit hesitant about going to the solids. Welcome aboard the bandwagon.

Glad to hear it! I too felt better when I walked. Keep us posted!
