My doc says to keep total consumption of all food to four ounces. That said I would go with two ounces of protein at a time and add a little vegetables. I had a band for 7 years before the sleeve and only did two ounces at a time all the time

My doctor told me at this early in the game, you're supposed to be getting 100gms of protein. I try to do a shake with 30 gms protein, then I do 2 yogurts, during the day, and some cottage cheese, I'm probably not getting 100gms, but near enough. it's all I can do to get the protein shake down, or I would do 2. Good luck hope this helps.

I can eat about 2 oz. of meat, about 4 oz. of dairy/tofu protein. I am 4 months out.
