Hello Everyone, this is a report for the diabetes people. So before my surgery I had a hb A1c of 10.2 % and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to have the surgery at all because my sugars ran around 290 everyday and so I am proud to announce that my sugars run around 100 or less now and my hb A1c is 5.2%. Praise the Lord, I never took another metformin once I left the hospital on my surgery day. I went down from 278 to 207 in 6 months. I have had alot of plateus but I am making it. I am so proud of all of us that went this route of trying something to help us out health wise. Alot of people ask why did I have the surgery since I seemed so happy with my weight, Well being happy in your skin is one thing but no one is happy with DIABETES eating away at their insides. I didn't aim to be super skinny but to be super healthy. I am so glad that I can eat fruit again without my sugar running up to 300. I feel free. I would like to loose maybe another 20 pounds in the next 6 months. The dietitian and nurse at the surgeons office said that I am right on track. Good luck to all of you! I will post pictures later today
