Second Thoughts

No, was so excited I could hardly wait. No regrets.

I chickened out on my 1st attempt to start the process. A month later, I realized I wasn't going to lose weight any other way and just made my mind up to go through with it - no matter what.

I had surgery on March 11th and am feeling so great!!

I did have second thoughts a week before my surgery.. not really sure why; as I did so much research and new this was the right decision. I believe it was mostly out of fear of the unknown.

The first couple days post op were rough, as with most surgeries. But, I am down 35 lbs already in almost 4 weeks and have never felt better. Second thoughts are typical for some of us. But, so are second chances.. Good Luck!!

Thanks everyone. I just keep thinking one more try.

Corkiseg, if you are having doubts, I would say don't do it. While I personally am thrilled with my sleeve, my own opinion is that WLS is like marriage - if you have doubts, hold off. You can always do it later. Unlike a marriage, there is no divorce from the sleeve. You better be pretty sure it is what you want to do and you are very aware of the risks and requirements to both lose and to keep the weight off long term.

Good luck to you however you choose.

Thanks so much for the answers. I was 100% there and excited. Got the surgery date and started my liquid diet and have had anxiety ever since. Feel like I'm not ready. Scared if I back out now the surgeon won't do it if I want to do it later. I got a 90 day approval letter...but I'm sure I would have to all of the preop stuff again. Scared.
