  • I have my "heads and tails" scheduled for the beginning of April. The prep is far worse than the test. A little of milk of amnesia and you won't remember a thing ????

  • It like someone tucking you in at night..........you lay on your side (at least I did. I got scoped both ends) and get comfortable. Then they put this pacifier thingy in you mouth and next thing....

Yep I had my upper endoscopy (EGD) and the colonoscopy all at the same time. The only thing that hurt was paying for it. It's all to ensure that everything is okay before you are on the surgery table.

I had an upper GI but mine was just me standing up and drinking some stuff and they took some x rays and then I laid on my stomach and drank some more stuff and they took some more x rays and that was it. Nothing went down my throat or up my booty.

Ladybug, how has the sleeve affected your reflux issues? I am pre-op, and never had a reflux problem until anout a month ago. I don't know if it s all in my head or what. It is worrying me...I don't want it to get worse with the sleeve. I go for my EGD on 4/10.

I am still pre-op as well. Very interested in finding out the answer too. Good luck to you!
