Quick Question - Please help me

Hi everyone!

I'm new here, 12 days post-op. Was wondering if someone could answer a quick question for me.

My dietician has said I can start on my purée phase on Saturday including having mushy scrambled eggs. My favourite scrambled eggs include fresh chives.

My question is - is there a chance the chives could get caught in my staples?

I would hate to do anything to make myself sick and I forgot to ask the dietician.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Thank you in advance :-)

chives should not be a problem...but you can always check with your dietician to be 100% sure... they encourage spices and herbs...so with that said, my thought would be it's ok...(they wouldn't get caught in your staples...but may upset your tum tum)

During my soft mushy stage, as long as it was soft it was okay. I was warned against eating hard things like sunflower seeds, even ground up, because there might be a small hard bit that wasn't fully ground up and might get stuck in my staple line. Just make sure the chives are fresh, not dried and I think you would be okay with them.

Thanks very much for both of your input. I had them today and they were deluxe! Only problem was when I put cream instead of milk in my coffee - instant tummy ache :-(
