I was sleeved on February 27, so I'm a little over 2 weeks out. I started on soft foods and I'm following the guidelines my nutritionist gave me of only doing 1/2 cup but I don't feel the restriction people have talked about. I get all my fluids in no problem and can drink my Protein Shakes. I'm really worried that this surgery didn't work. I mean, I'm not hungry and I'm just eating to follow my orders, but if I don't feel full, how am I supposed to be successful? I'm really scared this was a waste of time. Is this normal?

When you start getting solids in you, you will feel the restriction.

I feel the same way. I was put on soft food (1/4 cup) 1 week out. I stop at 1/4 cup but I am also worried because I do not feel any restriction either.

Don't worry, this is normal. I am 3 weeks out and on soft foods and just starting to feel restriction. Just keep measuring your food and you will do great. Your nerves in your stomach are still healing.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
