allergy shots?

So this might seem odd but prior to surgery I used to get shots for my allergies. I stopped two weeks before my surgery and have yet to start them again, I figured my body is going through a lot right now why add immunotherapy on top of it. Just wondering if anyone else gets shots and if so when did you go back to getting them and was there any negative reactions because of the WLS?

  • I kept on my schedule with my shots which I take weekly. No bad reactions. However, since you've skipped several weeks, you probably need to build back up. Call your allergist for advice.

  • I'm 11 days out of surgery and got my allergy shot yesterday. I missed the past 2 wks due to surgery. No problems so far.

Thanks HHHappy. I was just really apprehensive about taking them. I know I will dropped down several doses, I just wanted to be safe rather than having a really bad reaction.
