Post op comcerns

Hello, I was sleeved 8 days ago, I also had a hiatal hernia repaired. Yesterday and today I have had this feeling in the back of my throat that feels like something is stuck and there is a feeling of having to vomit and and I can hear gurgling or like a fizzing sound in my throat. The doctor told me to take Pepto Bismal and then start tomorrow on Prilosec. The doctor's office called me back this evening and said if it continues I should call the after hours emergency number because I will probably need an upper GI and or and X-ray. Has anyone else experienced something similar

My husband and I both had hiatal hernias and from what I read they are pretty common Anita. Since we were both sleeved we hear each other's gurgles, grumblings, hiccups and burps. We did not feel the need to vomit, except once when I did not chew well enough. I would "guess" the Prilosec may help. We are almost 4 months post op and have been on Prilosec since surgery. Some say their doctors keep them on this forever, others not. Hopefully this will stop - but wonder if you might get this feeling from something not agreeing with your sleeved stomach? Good luck!

Thank you, I just took a Prilosec. I am on liquids water, sugar-free jello, broth and protein shakes so I am not getting much of anything. I will post tomorrow if there is a change in the way that I feel.
