Woohoooo! I have a date!

Hi everyone!! Today was the BIG day I've been waiting for since I started my gastric sleeve journey in October. I almost shed a tear today when my doctor's secretary called me to schedule my surgery date. I will be sleeved on 3/19/2014. The doctor says I'm only required to do a 1 week pre-op liquid diet. Any advice anybody has to help me stay on track? Any favorite pre-op diet foods/drinks you recommend??

Congratulations! I almost cried when I got my date of 3/24 too! I haven't done the preop diet yet (mine starts 2 weeks before) but I have started replacing meals with shakes to try and ease into it as much as possible. I use unsweetened almond milk and Chocolate About Time and it's delicious!

Congratulations on getting a date!! That's what I'm looking forward to the most...a date!! Since I'm self pay and don't have to deal with insurance I'm hoping my process doesn't take long!

Congrats, I'm 3/14. I started the process of tasting shakes. So far I tried eas chocolate and muscle milk vanilla. I hated both and they were the most recommended on this forum! Good luck
