Red zone?

My doc gave me a very aggressive (for me) fill of 1cc on Wednesday and I am getting stuck sooo easy and can't eat anything solid until afternoon. I have woken up with a sore throat every morning since the fill but haven't PB'd or woke up coughing:choking at night. I have also lost 5lbs since Wednesday. Is this the green zone or am I too full. I have 5 cc in my 11cc band.

Give yourself another week or so to see if your fill "settles", I've noticed a lot of people seem to have a little rougher of a time during the time following a fill. I'm guessing you're a bit swollen and your body needs time to adjust. Try drinking warm drinks in the morning to help loosen your band a bit. If you get a couple of weeks out and are still having trouble with solids and not feeling well, then perhaps it will be time to call your surgeon to get his opinion on things. Good luck!

My surgeon keeps us on liquids for 4 days after a fill. So, it is 2 days clear and 2 days full. If you were following somsthing like that, you probably would not eat any real food until today or tomorrow. But, seems that you have not, so, I would suggest that you are swollen, and maybe need to try following a liquid diet of sorts. best wishes, Karen

My surgeon doesn't have me do that but I have been trying to stick to mostly liquids

I cannot eat anything in the morning....so I have a high Protein smoothie for Breakfast...things get better as the day goes along....

Also, with restriction, you have to re-examine what you are eating and how....too many people think they are too tight and in reality they do not want to change their eating habits...(what made us fat in the first place) then come back and complain the band does not work for them....)

It is not a Cliche when people say this will CHANGE your life....

It has been this way for me for over 2-1/2 years now....

The only thing you've said that concerns me is the sore throat. I wonder what that's all about.
