You probably will feel very tired for the first two weeks.. If u can take sick leave. .that is what I would recommend. It also depends how strenuous is your job. You should pick up heavy objects, more than 8 pounds, for the first month,

Some people go back to work after one week, if it is a desk job and your sick leave is minimal.

I have a fairly physical job w/ lots bending, kneeling, lifting etc so I am actually taking 5 wks off. I really don't think I need that much time but I am going to take it so I can focus on the new me and have time to figure this whole thing out while healing. Good luck

I work in an office and took two weeks and half days for the first week I went back. A friend of mine had told my boss that she took 5 weeks so when I went back after two my boss thought I was super woman!

I took about two and half weeks off. I return Monday and am looking forward to it cause I am getting bored-and with boredom can't turn to my old friend, food. I'm ready to go back!!
