Nausea 18 Days Post Op

I am 18 days post op and still having severe nausea. I'm looking for anyone who experienced the same thing. I need help. I am taking the max dosage of Zofran twice a day. Anyone have suggestions? It's not my vitamins. Taking antacid doesn't make a difference. Mainly it's protein drinks that make me the most ill. Talking or thinking about a protein shake can make me dry heave. It comes on fast like morning sickness but I am definitely not pregnant.

Hi Bry, I created a new thread for you in the Post Op section. Hopefully more folks will be able to answer your question here.

I was having the same problem. I stopped my protein shakes and have been trying to get my protein levels in with food. I feel much better. Also after surgery I found I am more sensitive to dairy. I haven't talked to my nutritionist about not doing the shakes yet so I'm not telling you to do it but it worked for me.

Hi,

Has your doctor advised you to take any B12 or B1? I was so nauseous I couldn't keep anything down. My doctor did labs and notice my B1 was low and my B12 was on the lower normal side. I started taking them and after awhile I felt so much better. Just a suggestion.......it worked for me :).

I can't tolerate the Protein shakes anymore either. They just don't sit well with me.
