Ugh, still feel hungry!

I'm 4 days post op, and still on clear liquids right now. I've added boost and sherbet to my foods because I just can't get full. I can get "full" off liquids, of course, but it's not satisfying me. The boost is as close to feeling satisfied as I get, because it's got all the added nutrients in it. I had lapband before sleeve, so my stomach was already accustomed to smaller portions. Anyone else have this problem, and find a solution?

I order and pick up. It's less than $2 and lasts a few meals.

  • Warm savory broth always made me satisfied. I simmered it and added herbs to make it taste better.

  • I'll try it. I'm sure if I can handle boost consistency with no problem, thinned creamed soup shouldn't be an issue.

Any good recipes for egg drop Soup? That sounds delicious! Of course, it would taste even better with a couple of egg rolls!

I still eat this quite frequently and add a scoop of powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Unflavored Protein powder for extra protein. It's cheap, easy and good. The sesame oil really does make it taste just that much better. :)

Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 15 minutes Ingredients:
  • 4 cups chicken broth or stock
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 -2 green onions, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • A few drops of sesame oil (optional)
Preparation:

In a wok or saucepan, bring the 4 cups of chicken broth to a boil. Add the white pepper and salt, and the sesame oil if using. Cook for about another minute.

Very slowly pour in the eggs in a steady stream. To make shreds, stir the egg rapidly in a clockwise direction for one minute. To make thin streams or ribbons, gently stir the eggs in a clockwise direction until they form.

Garnish with green onion and serve.

Stephanie, where do you get the isopure?

I agree that the protein shakes are not great. I've been making myself drink 2 of the isopure dymatize chocolate shakes with skim milk and a couple drops of almond extract twice a day and that gives me 66g of protein In a small amount...one scoop of the chocolate protein powder, 8 oz skim milk and almond extract. I mix it in the bullet so it is creamy. I'm going to get some banana extract today to try.

I actually misspoke...it is Dymatize Iso 100 protein powder. I got mine at The Vitamin Shoppe but you should be able to find it at any health/nutrition store. I tried the Premiere Protein shake today and it isn't bad. It has 30g of protein. I'm actually hoping to find a different flavor besides chocolate.
