I had surgery with Dr. Joya January 22. I feel like everything went well. I am a nurse and everything at the hospital seemed safe. Stayed at the hotel 10 days post op and did a lot of walking, went to downtown (Malecon) a few times, went swimming, even had a few massages. I loved puerto vallarta!

Hi winningatlosing. How much weight have you lost? I used Dr. Joya too but I find I am stalled already..surgery was Feb11th. Just looking for some one else's experience.

The stalls are normal you just have to stay with the plan. After the first few months the weight loss really slows. I am almost two years out. I now weigh 149. The last year I have only lost 11 lbs. But that's ok. It's still going down.

Ho slowtogo, what plan do you mean? Did you get a meal plan? I have been trying to "wing it" myself...could be why I'm stalled !! lol

You went swimming already?? Im scared..lol...im pretty much healed but dont want my wounds to reopen...im day 9 postop

My US Doctor said no swimming or water immersion for 2 weeks, and that is IF there were no complications

Good to know....im 2 weeks out healing is going well.......im going to get a 1 month rec center membership so cannot wait to get into the pool...or hotub!!
