I have been doing walking all along, but did not start strength training until week four post-op, with a limit of five-pound weights.

I was walking almost immediately after surgery - laps around the nurses station. I was on the treadmill one week after surgery. Not killing it, but a nice walk.

I am one week out and started back on the treadmill yesterday - 20 minutes.

I am not allowed anything but walking for 4-6 weeks.

I am schedueled for the 27 of htis month. Has any Dr's given a time line for heavy lifting? I have always lifted weights and I will miss it while I am recovering. Thanks,

Walking 30min on the treadmill. Going out to day to get some 5,8,10lb weight and strength resistant bands!
