Stall? Or am I doing something wrong?

I'm almost 8 weeks out from surgery and I've been around the same weight for about 3 weeks now. I'll lose two pounds one day then the next day I gain it back it has been like this for weeks and is driving me crazy. When I got the all clear to eat solid foods it was really hard for me to get protein in but lately I've been getting a good amount of protein in and still nothing. I force myself to drink water, I usually drink 40oz a day and I've been taking all my meds so I don't know what else I should be doing. My doctor has advised me to not exercise too much right now since when I started working out I began to get a lot of lower abdomen pain so I'm sure not being able to workout has put me in this stall but it's just very frustrating! I've lost about 24lbs since surgery and I know everyone's process is different but it seems that everyone has lost much more at 8 weeks. I'm beginning to feel a little bit of regret and coming really down on myself because now I'm thinking it's just me. I know this is a process but I feel like I'm up against a wall and have no where else to go. I'm trying to stay positive but it isn't easy. I just want to know if anyone else is experiencing this or has at the earlier stages. Also if anyone has any advice on what else I could be doing or not doing correctly I would love to hear some input. Thanks!

I am a firm believer in doing pool work. I spend an hour a day in the pool. Most of it walking as fast as possible. So much easier on joints. Surgeon says best exercise you can do. Like everyone says drink water water water. Plus I don't weigh myself very often. Scale can give us bad thoughts when it doesn't tell us what we want or hope it will say. I haven't weighed myself in 2 plus weeks. But I know I have lost a nice amount since. Just by how my clothes are fitting. Stay positive and best of luck on your journey.
