Hello fellow VSGers. My story is a lot like others. Struggled with my weight from a younger age. Tried different diets. Groups etc. May 30th 2013 ivisted my Dr. For the 1st time. I relocated to eastern WISC. 4 yrs ago.for work. Love the area. Being on my own single guy. Mid 40s my weight really went up. Work related. Relationship issues. Etc. In may I was high blood pressure. High cholesterol. Type 2 diabetic. Sleep apnea etc. Joined YMCA after being put on 5 meds. Plus insulin. Did all the pre-op insurance requirements. I lost 65 lbs before surgery. Surgery was Dec 26th. 2013. Just over 2 weeks post-op. 35 more lbs gone. I haven't taken any insulin or metformin since mid Dec Dr. Says in mid Feb if blood test looks good will get rid if BP meds and cholesterol meds. Was just allowed to get back into pool. Looking forward to new me. New clothes. And a wonderful 2014 and beyond.
