I'm not positive, but I've heard no. I've heard that chewing gum increases the amount of air you swallow....Again, Im not positive of the reason, but it is on my list of no no's

The major thing I have noticed from this forum is that everyone reacts to things different. I would wait till you are a couple of months out and maybe give it a try and see how you react,

My surgeon also said no gum for that same reason Photo stated. I used to chew gum constantly pre-op so it's hard not to! But I haven't. Yet. lol
