I will go tomorrow to pre-register and have surgery on the 27th. I can't believe it's just a week away its about to get real!!!

I remember that feeling. It is very exciting! Congrats!

For me it didn't seem "real" until I was laying on the gurney hooked up the IV, waiting to be rolled into the operating room. Then it all became very real. The only things I remember now were when a nurse came in and said "Are you ready?" Next thing I knew I was in my recovery room and the phone was ringing. I was still so out of it that I couldn't answer. I woke up again a few hours later though and asked for pain meds.
