A Whole New World

Hello my name is Toria-Mom2ppd, I started my journey Dec 3rd (pre-op diet) and Dec 17th date of surgery. This experience has been great thus far. I have had no complicatios and I feel as if I have second chance at getting this thing called life right. All my life i have been heavier than the average Jane. As an adult my weight would fluctuate between 215 & 250. I know wide range, but hey it's my truth. After giving birth to my 3rd child my body just would not cooperate. I dieted and exercised like crazy and my weight would move mere 4 lbs. I had had enough. I was always active and loved to workout but i am a larger framed girl and this time my body was not handling well at my new high of 269. I decided i was going to do something about my weight one and for all so i decided surgery it is. I started doing my research and decided if i went through with if gastric bypass was the best route for me. So fortunately i stumbled upon my surgeon as i entered his office to have my gallbladder checked. That day my life changed. It was as if God had sent me there for one reason and he opened the door for a whole nother opportunity. My surgeon was actually a bariactic surgeon! At that moment i knew the surgery was right for me and so the journey began. My weight before pre op xiet was 269 and day of surgery 253 and day of first Doc visit 250 since then i have lost 17 additional lbs and I feel great! I'm looking forward to this Whole New World of eating and living and I'm going to need a ton of support going forward.

Thx in advance for your support and advice.
