can we take mucinex?

I had a cough before surgery that mainly bothered me at night ...after surgery it was completely gone for two days ..day of discharge it came back..now it's bothering me again..can we take mucinex? Its kinda rattling.

Oh, thats rough. I Coughing hurt like a son of a gun post op. I pray you don't have to sneeze.

I think those are fine. As long as it doesn't have and NSAID in it.

Because you're so close I would call your surgeon's office. At my one week appointment, the doctor said that one of the things that messes with things internally is coughing, so I don't know if I would take an expectorant without their guidance.

I purchased the liquid form this evening at the grocery store...i'll let you know how it goes..
