Abdominal pain

I usually sleep pretty good throughout the night, but when I woke up this morning I felt a sharp pain on my right side. It comes and goes but hurts occasionally. I am 7 days post op. what does this mean. Should I go to the doctors?

I think any sharp pain is definitely worth looking into, just to ease your mind. Given the holiday etc., don't delay placing a call to the nurse, just to be cautious. I wouldn't worry because I think it could well be gas so I'd start with Gas-x, and a heating pad on the location of the pain and while you wait for them to return your call.

I am having pain, all day, where my drainage tube is. It's a little swollen and has a odor. I'm worried it might be infected. But I am going to see my doctor tomorrow

The odor is not a good sign. Definitely go see your doctor.
