I'm day 10 post op. I stopped taking my pain meds yesterday morning. I'm Dizzy today. A little lightheaded. I'm in general feeling better but my head isn't there. Is this normal!?!?

Well, this could be a lot of things. Of course, my first piece of advice would be to contact your medical team. If for nothing else, keep them abreast of how you are and any issues you are having. They know your medical history while we don't.

Are you able to get your liquids in? How about eating? What are you eating? How many calories are you getting in each day?

If you aren't meeting your Dr's quotas on these, this would be where I would start focusing.

I'm eating but I can't eat as much as they expect. My stomach is full! So far today I had 16 oz water, 2 oz of organic Greek yogurt, and 1 stick of string cheese. I'm trying to drink my water now but my stomach is pretty full.

I'm supposed to get in 64oz of liquid a day and I've been getting about 40-55oz. I'm suppose to get 80g of protein and I'm getting about 60g a day. I felt I was doing pretty good for day 10 post op.

Indeed. Getting your liquids in should be your first priority, then your protein, then calories. You can end up in the ER with an IV bag due to dehydration, but being short on protein isn't going to lay you out.

I know early out I felt like all I did was sip and eat, sip and eat. Made me crazy. I was dying for anything with texture. But, this too shall pass. Just keep sipping and eating. You'll be fine.

Yep,

Let your physician know about the dizziness. Could be dehydration and some pain meds can even cause some dizziness. But only your physician can tell you the cause, treat you and follow you up. Meanwhile push the fluids till while you are. Waiting to here from your Doctor.

Hope you feel better soon.
