I struggled with all that leading up to my surgery in September. I've had absolutely no regrets. I've had a few days of "what have I done to myself," but they are short-lived and very infrequent. T

LOL, everything you are describing sounds like most of the people I've seen come here. You will be able to eat out again, just not as much and there will be certain foods you may have to abandon. It

Hi everyone! Found this blog in hopes to calm my nerves! Surgery set for 12/19/2013 , 2 more days! On my 10 pre-op diet and have had urges to kill for something good to bite into! How am I going to make it after surgery! Though I have lost 5 # on this liquid diet which is incentive for sure. Just wondering how much of a life change this will be! I love my food, just hate what it has done to me, made me FAT! Will I ever be able to go out to dinner with my ever so slim and trim husband of 36 years again? Will I ever be able to eat real food again?
I know that I have to lose the weight, it has caused me diabetes , high high cholesterol , bad knees, bad feet ( plantar fasciitis ) ! But the idea of something being inside me the rest of my life is spooky! I am 59 years old know, what will it be like when I am 80? Okay okay, I admit I am just soooooo nervous! I hate surgery, well really just being put under is the worst!
I just have to keep telling my self it is not a choice but a necessity if I want to live to see my grandkids grow!
