My surgeon

  • Popular Post

Called me a success today!!

I'm not at my goal but I guess I made some kind of goal for him because he said I'm good, that I look great to him!

my blood work is awesome (Well except that damn iron) I'm a success in his eyes :)

I know it's kindly corny, but it felt good.

I wanted a certain number going in there today and I didn't hit it and I have been down a bit about it..

It's a stupid number as was pointed out to me (thanks m2g) this morning and I'm going to take the victory lap for now and just keep trying to Work on myself.

Shameless selfie :P

Points funny how we like to show ourselves off to our surgeon. I like being a success and I hope the docs are proud too. My daughter is having her surgery this Friday so I get to see my MX surgeon one year exactly from my surgery. I'm excited.. Plus hopefully it's warm down there compared to here ;)

That's great! I'm sure your surgeon will be happy to see the progress, I bet they don't get to see it much with having most of their patients living out of country. Good luck to your daughter also!

Ha! Funny, I was reading your post Laura, and when I got home from work I had a message on my phone from my bariatric Docs office to come in for a 3 year checkup! I am so glad I weight a little less than the last time I was there instead of 22 pounds up pre 5:2! My last visit must have been at one year....

Nice! You've earned it

So happy for you that you have ARRIVED! Take that victory lap and enjoy it, sister, because you deserve it. I am also looking forward to my one year appointment, and I also want him to be pleased, though I'm not sure why. Our success is their success, so I suppose we have a common goal. Anyway, your selfie is proof that the number is just a number. You look great!

The thing is I just wanted to walk in there and step on that scale and be solidly in the 140's (with clothes on) I'm 149 so that means getting to at least 146 unclothed..

But the good part of that "blowing" your stupid goal? I Thought I'm going to at least look good You know the drill wearing the lightest clothes you can... Screw it! I layered up the wazoo. I've got two sweaters on, an undershirt heavy jeans my studded belt and a heavy necklace Stepped on my home scale and I read 153!!! Lol from 149 to that!!

I went to the doctors office and didn't even take my shoes off (you know every ounce counts) :P

Oh the doctors scale said 152 Note to self is scale takes off a pound at doctors. I'll remember that next time :D

Soooooooo incredibly happy for you!

Welllll, it's the sassy, sexy Laura!!! WOOOT WOOOT!! Be proud of you!! You look fabulous!! And now you have the proof straight from the surgeons mouth:)

What a wonderful thread. Laura, I am so happy for you. I see my dr tomorrow for my 4 month checkup, hope he is as happy as yours is. Congratulations, Miss Skinny!

Shoot, LV, don't stop yourself from talking to the newbies in the waiting room, show them the success, give them hope, get them excited! As for Iron, can you incorporate more iron rich foods in your diet, like spinach etc? Also, I lol'd at your scale machinations, I happen to know *for a fact* that my boots weight 7.1 pounds, and that all of my clothes weigh a surprising 4 lbs, and any time I am weighed by a Drs office I am quick to point that out!

OMG Laura!! That must have felt wonderful!! I'm so happy for you and all if your hard work.

As of today I am a vet so I will comment:

AMAZING!!! Just freakin' amazing. You're the best Laura. What an achievement!

Congrats Laura Ven you look great and the hard work shows!

Okay, I'm going to steal (gosh I can't help myself...as I said "if I had a British Accent I would never shut up!") Amazeballs (ok sure with tinsel on them there balls) and Chuffed to Beans for ya!

You did awesome and I'm impressed with the layering and the heavy necklace...ha ha! You look amazing and those 3 little lbs do NOT make or break you.

And all the nurses drs. *know* we weigh less on our scale at home. Clothing DOES add weight, and if I could hop up there nekkid I sure would just to prove it. Well, with the flashing skin...maybe notsomuch.

You are awesome lady. Job well done. One year under that big ole belt of yours around a skinny waist! ;)
