just wanted to "formally" introduce myself . I'm Cate, live in New Zealand & have started my pre-op liquid diet today. My surgery is scheduled for March 28th.

Hi Cate..congrats on getting a date. I am in the holding pattern waiting for approval. There is lots of help and tidbits on here. Lots of recipes on the food thread also. Good Luck

How ya doin? Good luck on your surgery. I'm going to see the doctor in April and hope to have my surgery in May or June. Already been approved.

Wow, thanks for all of the friendly replies!

I noticed that some of you have also lost huge amounts of weight- to save you writing it out all over again, is there somewhere on the site where you have shared your journeys? I'd love to hear how things have gone -have you still had to "diet" with the band, or simply modify your eating a little ?
