I had revision surgery from band to sleeve on 11/27/13 no complications but had a lot of scar tissue. I was able to go home 11/29 but have a drainage tube that has to be kept in for a week. I am finally starting to pass gas wooohooo lol. I am up walking, sipping, walking and sipping and taking my meds. I am down 12lbs pre liquid diet and looking for the new healthier me.

Hey Hallen! My revision was the 26th! No complications. Just got back from Mexico late last night. The last hour in the car was murder! How is your liquid diet going? Have you had broth? I never thought broth could be so heavenly! I actually have been enjoying the herbal tea and broth best, which is weird cause I'm usually a sweets person. Haven't really felt like Jello or juice yet.

tjdorsett, I am so happy to have the band out no more pain with the port and vomiting. I know what you mean the hour drive home from Erie was brutal. I have such an Awesome family and husband who are taking great care of me. Even my dogs are so protective and won't leave my side. The gas pains are the worst.... I just try to keep myself busy and walk, walk, and walk some more that's the only thing that makes me feel better. I am drinking sugar free carnation instant Breakfast for my Protein and can eat very little sf Jello and My favorite thing to eat right now is sugar free popsicle. I'm going to mix things up a little today and throw in some broth and Decaf coffee or tea. Please keep me posted on how your doing! It's so nice to have someone to talk to that is going through the same situation as me. oh did you have to have a drainage tube?

Hallen.....how are you feeling today? I'm doing so much better. Each day gets a little easier. This morning was my first "back to the grind" type morning.....woke up to snow so had to drive all three kids into town, made lunches, dishes, dinner in the crock. It's the little things that make me feel like I can get through this!

I'm already down 10 pounds! Not sure how much of that is "water weight" but it sure felt good stepping on the scale!

I've moved on from just Clear Liquids. I'm doing shakes (very smooth and runny) vanilla yogurt same way, Soups with no chunks. My tummy seemed to be tolerating everything pretty well. I had a sugar free fudge pop last night, wow! It tasted heavenly!

Hope you are doing good. Keep me posted! Take Care.

I am feeling great except the horrid gas pains I have in my neck and shoulder, I also haven't had a bm since the 26th so I called my doc and he gave me Miralax and it's working. Wow you will be a little sore and tired tonight but us moms are hero's lol . My daughter was saying mom you need to rest and not be doing everything that your doing. I feel I'm healing quicker because I am up and walking and doing things. I am down 15 pounds so far and I can already see a difference in my face.

I am still on liquids for another week and cant wait to move to the next stage. I go see my doctor on Thursday to have the drainage tube removed.

Take care and keep me posted

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
