Burping And Pooping!

I'm 3 days post op and every single time I drink anything I burp. Not even burp. I belch in the most unladylike way. Is this normal??

And when will I be able to poop again?! Geez!!

Be glad you are burping. Getting rid of the gas they probably filled your abdomen with during surgery is important to reduce any discomfort. Burping is one way to do that. I had my first BM on day 4 after surgery. I didn't require any medical intervention, but some people do need a stoof softener.

You must have given me some good luck - I had one this morning (Day 4) and I was so proud of myself and relieved at the same time!!! Lol
