Want to dye my hair and or put a perm in it. Has anyone done this? If so did you have any bad effects?

i had hair loss at 4 months out. it lasted about 6 weeks, Are you more than 6 months post op? if not, i would wait for your hair's sake.

Knock on wood, six weeks out I haven't had any issue with hair loss and have bleached/dyed and now just recently redyed my hair after giving it a rest from the bleach. YMMV depending on how your hair is going after the surgery anyway.

I will say my hair is very dry lately, but I can't be sure if thats the bleaching process I did or something else -- time will tell on that one.

I have dyed my hair a few weeks ago and just did so again tonight. No problems either time. My hair tends to not hold dye well even before this though so it fades quickly and I generally get a lot of compliments when its about half faded if only I could figure out what color that was lol
