Soda?

Ok so I've been bad.... I'm 4.5 weeks post op (down 45 pounds!!!) and I tried a sip of soda! It caused a little bit of distress, but nothing unbearable. I don't plan on having much any time soon.

Have any of you tried it? Anyone a year+ out drinking soda?

I'm a little over 10 months out and I drink diet coke daily, and have since 3 months out. No issues for me. I drink my 64 ounces of water when I get to work in the morning, and then after lunch and throughout the rest of the day, I usually just drink diet coke.

I have tried it on occasions at 4m out as well as other things. I just chose not to drink it. I don't let this surgery limit me, I still live and I've lost 65lbs went from a size 22 to a size 10!!

research carbonated drinks and WLS.

Please think.

I have not tried to drink soda since surgery (12 weeks out) but I really have no intentions to. There is a lot of nasty stuff in them that I'm no longer interested in consuming. Believe me it was one of my hardest habits to break. I was a 2-3 Diet Pepsi per day drinker. Plus the fear of the bubbles in my tummy is also undesirable.

I find I don't miss them as much as I thought I would. Now coffee on the other hand, that I miss.
