Changing Focus: Heading Towards Freedom

Hi everyone! I am only 2 months out, but am very pleased so far. At age 54, I knew I must not only change my eating habits, but completely change my lifestyle. So....next week we are going to Eilat for a few days (I live in Israel). In the past, I would spend days searching out the best restaurants and plan our vacations around where will be eating. Now, I booked at a hotel that is right on the coral reef and has bicycles for the guests, and we will be spending our time cycling and snorkeling. I don't know (or care) where we will be eating. For me, after a lifetime of food addiction, that's what I call FREEDOM!!!!

Thank you so much for your support! Looking forward to supporting you on your journey, as well :)

That sounds like fun. I think you're right.....many of us planned most things around food. Vacations, holidays, family get togethers....they always seem to be good centered. Even at work, every event has to be centered around a sit down meal. Like they're bribing us with food. I hate it. But I used to live for it.

Good for you for changing your mindset and your focus on life.

Like your attitude and thanks for your comment. You are so right: life is just so food-oriented that it's hard to get away from it. Unlike other addictions, you can't live without food and it is everywhere...

You have come so far! You look amazing and I am sure you feel strong and fit. Keep up the good work!

By the way, how do I change the tagline under my name? :)

Go to your profile and click edit profile. Under profile information there will be a box called member title.....but you won't see it yet. You have to have 500 posts (I think).
