Hi therei am currently awaiting word from my insurance company to get the sleeve here in the United States. I am on the border with my BMI, 34.9,so I have a feeling I might be denied. No other factors to help out my plea unfortunately. So I am looking into Mexico as an alternative. Learning some great information here. I am down to two doctors. Dr illan and dr and sr alverez. I am leaning toward dr illan because of the cheaper price though. What are your thoughts between the two?

I am having my surgery on Monday with Alvarez. I have actually spoken with people who had him..and they were super pleased..will let you know!

I was sleeved by Dr. Illan on 8/31/13 and would recommend him to my family and friends. Such a wonderful surgeon and team. I have a picture of my leak test and pics of process. LOVE HIM!

Dr Alvarez is the best! I was sleeved 09.27.13. I have lost 55 pounds including pre op. Best decision I ever made!

Easier said than done because I know it matters, but don't let price influence you too much. Even if it means saving up a little longer. It's super important for you to be 100% confident with your surgeon selection. Good luck!
