How long before you had a 'drink'?

Hi guys. I'm just wondering how long post-op it was that you first had a glass of wine (or favourite tipple). No lectures please - I can read and I know that some Docs say up to 6 months. I'm simply wondering what people's experiences are :-) Lx

Has anyone tried to drink after 4 weeks? I'm having surgery on the Nov 26th and then our Christmas party is Dec.19th. So I'm curious if I can even have a small drink? I sipped my sister's light beer after it had flattened a bit and I'm six weeks out. Felt nothing but full.

So, like someone said above...I had way too much at a Halloween party this weekend. Was very warm and fuzzy off 1/2 a drink, but that faded quickly. I guess since it doesn't take much to feel the buzz it wears off quick too.

I tried my first drink 6 mo out... Vanilla rum in flavored crystal light. Was so yummy. Got a little buzzed with no issues... Until the next day. I was on the potty all day. I don't "dump" until the next day when I eat something I'm not suppose to... And this did it for me too. Evidentially I can't handle the alcohol sugar.
